# Till Cremer Studio

> Till Cremer (born 1975 in Bonn) is a German visual artist based in Berlin. From 1995 to 2002, he studied communication design at HBK Braunschweig. In his photography-based series, experimental short films, and interactive installations, Cremer investigates the processes and interrelationships between human perception and interpretation and the role of the individual as part of a whole. His photo book "Berlin Artists" (Kerber, 2015), nominated for the Deutscher Fotobuchpreis 2016, is held in, among others, Kunstbibliothek SMB, Thomas J. Watson Library at The Met, and TURMA biblioteca fotografía contemporánea Buenos Aires. Portraits from the series have been featured in numerous international publications, exhibited at venues such as bautzner69, Dresden and Dada Post, Berlin, and are part of the Art Collection of the Akademie der Künste, Berlin. In 2018, Cremer presented a lecture on this portrait series at the symposium Artist Complex at the Museum für Fotografie, Berlin, published as an essay (De Gruyter, 2021). Since 2021, with funding from the Goethe Institut / EU, Stiftung Kunstfonds, Villa Ruffieux, and further institutions, Cremer has been developing his current long-term project "Blütenporträts" (Bloom Portraits), a series of large-format photomontages depicting the floral peaks of various landscapes.
